I’m Ellen Morningstar, owner of Morningstar Films. I’m a wife, a mother, and a friend. I am rooted in my heritage and pay respect to the history that brought me here. Born to those who worked the earth, raised with my hands in the soil. I grew up working in the hot Midwest air. I remember the feeling of the dirt under my nails and the long days work that always laid ahead. The setting sun on the horizon of the freshly worked fields left me seeking something more. This fierce sense of adventure overtook me and I found myself on a Westward journey.

I’m not your average filmmaker. You get more than just a film, you get an immersive experience. I feel deeply and love fiercely and those elements are infused into the heart and soul of my films. This means you’re not only engaged with sight and sound, you’re taken on an emotional journey back to a moment in time.
